Stesy Styles You #7: how to dress CURVY!

European women usually wear a size 14 or 16. Fashion is only for thin models, but who said that curvy women can’t dress with style and elegance!? Here all the silhouettes and the items that will make you look thinner and have a dream body.

Let’s take as an example the style icons such as Kate Winslet, youg actress from Titanic and beautiful shapely woman, Beyoncé, the muscular body of a dancer but with round shapes, Monica Bellucci, from fashion to cinema, from the sunken cheeks to the plump figure.

The perfect items for you are not too large, but not too fitted. You must abandon XXL sizes and the oversize style that make you look like a trash bag. It is also better to avoid overloading the silhouette too much by overlapping too many layers or colours.

The best COLOURS are the dark ones, of course, because they make you look thinner. Three different colours let you choose between 3 different styles to reveal your forms and feel comfortable:

  • Neutral colours: gray and taupe.
  • Precious colours: garnet and emerald
  • The fake blacks: deep purple, navy, charcoal gray

Why? Why not, just be careful to avoid bright colours.

To hide your flaws, go for straight coats! No to large jackets that become tight at the knees but yes to long cardigans worn with jeans and high heels. If you want to enhance your best assets wear a wrap-dress with a belt at the waist, a pair of jeans that shape your body with a high waist to emphasize the feminine shapes, or with a low waist if you have a round bum, and finally a nice trench coat tight on the waist, if you have it thin, or if you have a plump waist go for the colour black.

Finally the right ACCESSORIES to enhance the body and hide the hips: a belt under the bust instead of wearing it on the hips and XS handbags are essential to avoid your figure look to heavy.

Neutro: grigio e talpa.

Preziosi: granata e smeraldo

I falsi neri: viola profondo, blu marine, grigio antracite… I motivi? Perché no, ma attenta a evitare i colori troppo vistosi.
