We are in the high season for fashion shows, with thousands of bloggers, editors and buyers who are preparing to participate to them. But what do you wear at a fashion shows? After a week of researching, here are my results. I created 4 outfits with Polyvore for you and I also posted some photos from which I took inspiration. What do you think? Have you ever been to a fashion week?
HERE THE DATES OF THE DIFFERENT FASHION WEEKS (the most important ones)
NEW YORK: 10/02 – 17/02
LONDON: 18/02 – 23/02
MILANO: 23/02 – 01/03
PARIS: 01/03 – 09/03
FRANCA SOZZANI ON HER BLOG:
“Fashion shows should be a time to dress with a personal elegance, perfectly built for yourselves and not the parody of a world that is changing and where it seems that nobody wants to acknowledge it. The world is changing and it is not the time to be over the top. It is not even socially classy. It’s almost insulting.
Elegance has be creative, even eccentric, but not ridiculous. There isn’t an absolute good or bad taste. There is what looks good and what looks bad. To each it’s own interpretation of free fashion. But enough of this useless ostentation. ”
TIP: more than anything keep it simple and add accessories to punch up your outfit
A semi-transparent long blouse and a pair of denim shorts. Because it will definitely be too cold to go around in shorts in winter (and also ridiculous), a pair of patterned tights underneath. To punch up everything, black clutch bag and stiletto heels (not as high ad in this picture, as I would die in them after 15 minutes) and red jewellery. And obviously my always-present red lipstick.
Sort-of-bronze color blazer (with a 3/4 sleeve), simple black t-shirt and black shorts, with patterned tights underneath. Brown messenger bag, strappy ankle boots and lots of bracelets. This is my favourite one and probably the one I’m going to choose in the end, as it is quite sophisticated, even though it looks effortless, but also comfy and versatile.
LBD with a fur vest on top. Black stilettos, bag and bracelets. To give a bit of brightness a silk scarf and the red lipstick.
Transparent top with classic black blazer and trousers. High-heel ankle boots and golden jewellery.
